The social media authorization diagram illustrates the simple 3-step OAuth process that allows NotesRSS to automatically post your Evernote content to social media platforms.
Step 1: Click Social Media Link
- What happens: Users visit their NotesRSS dashboard and click on the social media platform they want to connect (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, etc.)
- What you see: Authorization links like:
- “Authorize Facebook”
- “Authorize LinkedIn”
- “Authorize X-Twitter”
- Behind the scenes: NotesRSS generates a secure OAuth URL and redirects you to the social media platform’s official authorization page.
Step 2: Login to Social Media Platform
- What happens: You’re taken to the official social media website (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) where you log in using your normal credentials.
- What you see: The familiar login page of your chosen social media platform – NotesRSS never sees your social media password.
- Security: This is handled entirely by the social media platform using industry-standard OAuth 2.0 security protocols.
Step 3: Approve NotesRSS Access
- What happens: After logging in, the social media platform shows you an approval form asking if you want to give NotesRSS permission to post on your behalf.
- What you see: A permission screen showing what NotesRSS can do.
- Your choice: You can approve (or deny) the request.
After approval, you’re automatically redirected back to your NotesRSS dashboard where you’ll see a confirmation that the social media account is now connected and ready.
The entire process takes less than 2 minutes per platform and only needs to be done once per social media account.
